Recruitment should work for candidates too.
20K Recruitment was founded by an accountant who spent almost a decade working in the accounting profession before moving into recruitment.
That means I understand the market from both sides — the roles, the salaries, the career decisions and what accountants actually value when considering their next move.
But there's another reason the 20K model matters to candidates.
No percentage of your salary — so nothing about your package changes what I'm paid
Traditional recruitment agencies often charge a percentage of the candidate's salary. This means the agency's fee can increase as the salary increases.
20K Recruitment takes a different approach. Our recruitment fees are fixed and capped at $20,000. That means I'm not incentivised to push for a higher salary simply because it increases my fee. Equally, I'm not negotiating a higher recruitment fee with a client at the end of the process.
I've seen recruitment opportunities become more complicated when fees become a sticking point between an agency and a client. Ultimately, it's the candidate who can miss out on an opportunity.
With 20K Recruitment, the fee is clear from the beginning, allowing everyone to focus on what actually matters — the right person, the right role and the right long-term fit.
My focus is simple: finding the right role for the right candidate and making the opportunity work for both sides.— Nick Coroneos, Founder
I understand the profession because I've worked in it.
I'll tell you where you stand throughout the process and keep you informed along the way.
My fixed-fee model means my recruitment fee isn't tied to your salary.
I'm interested in whether the role is genuinely right for you, not simply whether I can make a placement.
You deal directly with me throughout the recruitment process — from the initial conversation through to the outcome.
Candidates get a recruiter whose focus is on finding the right opportunity — not maximising a percentage-based fee.
